Notes to myself, hopefully useful for others

I’m planning to use this Blag to document my abuse of (more or less) popular software – mostly Linux-related – to fit my needs (and sometimes other peoples needs).
The main goal of this Blag is to compensate for my bad memory (I regularly ask myself “How did I get $program to work?” or  “What was the name of that useful tool?”, …)
As a positive side effect the information gathered here might be useful for others and I hope to benefit from your knowledge in the comments :-)
